Open House information


Good morning, Beaver Run Families!
Staff and community partners will be at Moss Hill in the grassy area tomorrow, August 2nd, from 3-4:30 pm for a Summer Pop Up. There will be snow cones, snacks, and games. Snow cones will be free for the first 100 children.
There will also be an opportunity for enrollment specifically for incoming Beaver Run students only.
Required STUDENT documents:
o Birth Certificate
o Immunization Records & Current Physical
Form
o IEP or IFSP, if applicable
Required PARENT/GUARDIAN documents:
o Parents) or Legal Guardian(s) Driver's License or State-Issued Picture ID
o State of Maryland Benefit Eligibility Letter, if applicable
o Proof of Income for PreK 3 and PreK 4 ONLY
o 4 most current & consecutive pay stubs
o W-2s OR 2022 tax return
o 2 Proof of Residency documents in a parent's or legal guardian's name (mortgage, property tax bill, lease, electric bill, gas bill, or water bill)

DRESS CODE
A student’s appearance should reflect pride and respect for self and for school. Any type of attire which attracts undue attention to the wearer, is torn and ragged, unsafe, or causes a disturbance, is in poor taste and not acceptable. All students should groom and dress themselves neatly in items that are suitable for school activities. No cosmetics or nail polish brought to school. No cosmetics should be worn at school.
The following types of clothing are unacceptable:
· Halter tops
· Midriff shirts
· See-through blouses
· Large armhole blouses/shirts
· Eyelet or fishnet shirts
· Tank tops
· Very short shorts or skirts
· Thong shoes and flip-flops
· Hats, scarves, and other head coverings, except for religious or cultural reasons, nside the building.
· T-shirts displaying vulgar, obscene, and/or inappropriate pictures and/or writing
· Sagging pants that drag the floor or expose skin or undergarments
· Picks or combs protruding from the hair
· Brass knuckle rings and distracting chains or key-chains
· Coats and jackets inside the building
· Gang symbols
· Sunglasses inside the building


Beaver Run Elementary will be popping up at Moss Hill on Wednesday, August 2nd, from 3-4:30 pm. This is a first come, first serve opportunity for snacks and snow cones up to 100 students. Come say hi and visit some of your favorite staff.

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.
For the July 11 Board meeting, the Board will convene at 6:30 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 7 p.m. The agenda for this meeting will be available by the Friday before the meeting on BoardDocs: https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/wcboe/Board.nsf/Public
In accordance with the Board of Education Public Comments Protocol Policy, pre-registration for public comments is required. Public comments during the Board meeting will be limited to 20 participants. To register for public comments, please visit the pre-registration page (https://board_public_comments.wcboe.org/), which will be open starting one week prior to this Board meeting (at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 4) and will close one day before (at 7 p.m. Monday, July 10) before the Board meeting.
Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during that timeframe (on any day except July 4, when the school system is closed for the holiday) to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.
