Friday, Aug. 30: Central Office and school offices are open, but teachers and most school staff are off today to enjoy the last weekend of the summer before the start of school. We look forward to seeing everyone rested and ready for learning starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 for most students.




Letter days for elementary students (including those at Pittsville Elementary and Middle) are posted before each week of classes during the school year. The schedule of letter days can be found on school web pages in Live Feed, on the school system's main website in Live Feed and the home page gallery, and on social media. The letter days schedule is provided in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

The Family Portal, an invaluable information resource for parents and guardians and students, is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. Access the Family Portal at the top of the home page at www.wicomicoschools.org. Or, to get login instructions, visit https://www.wicomicoschools.org/page/family-portal-how-to-log-in. Note: Once logged into Family Portal for 2024-2025, parents and guardians will be able to locate the student ID number they need to sign up the student for the EDULOG Parent Portal for bus updates.


Prince Street families - Saturday, August 31st is the last day to report your Kid Read Now books. Make sure to record all your hard work this summer. See you soon.





WCPS will host the Resiliency Road Trip training sessions at James M. Bennett High School Auditorium on September 18, 2024. This free event is supported by MSDE and sponsored by the Mental Health Association of Maryland (MHAM). Registration is required for each session as space is limited. Please scan the QR code on the attached flyer to register. You can also find this flyer on our website under ebulletins. We are honored to host and excited to engage with the Resiliency Road Trip!!


Prince Street Families, We are excited to share that our students have read over 5,000 books this summer. We would love to see even more students report their books. Parents please take time to report those books as the summer comes to an end.





The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.
