The WiHi Athletic Department is proud to announce our Vernon Powell Student-Athlete of the Month for November! 🏆 Each month, in partnership with VP Shoes, we recognize student-athletes who excel both in the classroom 📚 and in their sports. Winners receive a $30 gift certificate to VP Shoes 👟 as a reward for their dedication and Tribe Pride. For November, we recognize Tavenon "Mouse" Outlaw! 🎉 Tavenon was a key reason our Varsity Football team triumphed over Queen Anne’s High School in the first round of playoffs, scoring an impressive three touchdowns. 🏈 He followed up with another playoff touchdown against Stephen Decatur in the second round. Tavenon exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete, excelling both on the field and in the classroom. We are also excited to see what Mouse will achieve on the wrestling mat this winter! 🤼 While we did not have a November Female Student-Athlete of the Month due to the lack of girls’ sports competitions during the month, we look forward to resuming this recognition in December. Congratulations, Mouse! 👏🎉 Your hard work and dedication make the Tribe proud!
